Aerial Monitoring and Security Center

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy officially inaugurated the Sardes Ancient City and Bintepe Lydian Tumuli Aerial Monitoring and Security Center.

Drone Systems and Security

An area of approximately 75 square kilometers in the Bintepeler region will be monitored aerially using long-range, high-capability drones equipped with night vision capabilities. The former excavation house near Karnıyarık Tepe has been renovated for this center.

Anti-Smuggling Data

Built upon three main pillars—preventing cultural property smuggling, international cooperation, and restitution—13,474 cultural properties have been brought back to Turkey since 2002.

UNESCO and International Cooperations

The inclusion of Bintepeler, which also houses the monumental tomb of Lydian King Alyattes, in the UNESCO World Heritage List has registered the universal value of this heritage. Additionally, the memorandum of understanding signed with the US has been extended.
