Vietnam Red Data Book Wins First Prize at Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Book Award
Prepared through the collaborative efforts of scientists nationwide, the two-volume Vietnam Red Data Book series was awarded the highest honor at the competition.
The Vietnam Red Data Book series won the First Prize at the 2026 Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Book Award. The work establishes a scientific basis for biodiversity by examining endangered species.
Scope and Purpose of the Award
On the occasion of the 2026 National Innovation Day, the Ministry of Science and Technology organized this award ceremony to honor outstanding books and book series with scientific value, practical application value, and widespread impact.
High Interest in the Competition
Receiving 329 submissions from more than 40 publishers, organizations, and partners in its first year, the Council decided to award prizes to 10 works following a rigorous evaluation process.
Content and Preparation Process of the Work
Incorporating the wisdom of scientists from numerous institutions and organizations across the country, the Vietnam Red Data Book series compiles and updates research findings on endangered species in Vietnam.
This series makes a significant contribution to establishing a solid and reliable scientific foundation for the conservation of biodiversity in the country.
Recipient of the First Prize
The highest honor of the competition, the First Prize, was awarded to the two-volume Vietnam Red Data Book set compiled by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Truong and other experts, published by the Publishing House for Science and Technology.
