Energy Expert Prof. Dr. Şenay Yalçın reported that Turkey ranks sixth in the world in thorium reserves according to current calculations, and second when potential reserves are taken into account. Experts emphasize that one kilogram of thorium can produce power equivalent to the energy provided by approximately two hundred kilograms of uranium.

Mehmet Fatih Tançalan Investigation

A financial investigation was launched following the extravagant wedding organizations held by Mehmet Fatih Tançalan, known in public as "Kara Haydar from Van". In the report prepared upon the instructions of the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Tançalan's financial movements were taken under review.

Details of the MASAK Report

According to the MASAK report dated September 9, a serious discrepancy was detected between Tançalan's income and his standard of living. A transfer traffic of approximately 115 million liras was determined in the individual's accounts.

In the examination, which also included the account movements of his wife Çağla Öz Tançalan, it was included in official records that the couple's total bank transfer volume exceeded 222 million liras.
