2026 World Rowing Masters Regatta Concludes at Lake Bled
The five-day event held at Lake Bled saw thousands of athletes compete, with the Upper Thames Rowing Club claiming the overall classification championship.
With the participation of over 4,700 athletes from all over the world, the 2026 World Rowing Masters Regatta witnessed intense competition at Lake Bled.
Record Participation at Lake Bled
Thousands of athletes from around the world gathered at Lake Bled for the record-breaking event. Throughout the organization, races were held in various categories ranging from single sculls to eights.
Jernej Slivnik, the executive director of the races, stated that the event reflected the spirit of masters rowing very well and that people from every corner of the world came to compete and strengthen friendships.
Club Records in the Races
In the event, which featured over 7,000 boats from 889 clubs, the men's F single sculls received 165 entries, while the women's E double sculls received 144 entries.
The participation of thousands of athletes ranging from their twenties to their nineties drew attention with its wide age range and showcased the strength of the community.
Overall Classification and Trophy Winners
Upper Thames Rowing Club from Great Britain won the overall championship trophy by accumulating 857 points.
Chinook Performance Racing followed the 857-point champion with 780 points, achieving significant success in the overall standings.
Category Highlights
Upper Thames also achieved success by winning the men's points trophy with 471 points.
In the women's category, the club that collected the highest points was Endeavor Racing Alliance with 887 points. For the overall cup, clubs were required to score points in both women's and men's races.
