Identities of Those On Board Confirmed

The Bermuda Police Service identified two Bermudian citizens on board: 66-year-old Marilyn Lavonne Bean and her 41-year-old son, Sergio Wayne Lottimore. Meanwhile, the US Coast Guard announced that the deceased Canadian citizens were Philip Gregory Childerhose, Thomas Henry Farquhar, Sarah Jane Paton, and Jolene Beth Weir.

In a statement, Latitude Air Ambulance President Peter Byl stated that the incident was an indescribable loss for the families and company employees. Byl emphasized that their focus is on supporting the families and employees while cooperating with the authorities.

Aircraft Route and Crew Information

The aircraft, belonging to the Canadian company that operates international medical flights, had traveled to Bermuda to pick up a patient and a relative. It was reported that the Canadian team on board consisted of two pilots and two medical personnel.

Sudden Altitude Loss During Flight

According to FlightAware data, the aircraft experienced a sudden drop from approximately 7,300 meters to 3,300 meters before communication was completely lost. Radio transmission logs cited by the Boston Globe revealed that communication issues occurred between the pilot and the air traffic controller.
