All Elite Wrestling has officially announced a brand-new match type called Clockwork Carnage, which will debut at the WrestleDream event with the AEW World Championship also at stake.
Details of the New Match Type
Announced by All Elite Wrestling during Saturday's Collision broadcast, Clockwork Carnage will feature eight wrestlers competing across two distinct stages.
Rules of the Competition
The match will begin with two randomly selected wrestlers, and a new participant will enter every three minutes; pinfalls and submissions will result in elimination.
Scoring and Final Stage
After the eighth wrestler enters the ring, the remaining competitors will move into a fifteen-minute period where they will aim for the most pinfalls or submissions.
Status of the Championship Title
Will Ospreay will put the AEW World Championship title on the line in this grueling match, having won it by defeating Kenny Omega at the All In event in August.
Key Matches and Date
WrestleDream will greet wrestling fans on October 17 at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida, and Jack Perry will face Samoa Joe prior to the event.
