At Least 12 People Killed in Sixth Consecutive Night of Attacks on Kyiv
The Ukrainian capital and its surroundings were the target of drone and missile attacks carried out by Russia for the sixth consecutive night.
At least 12 people lost their lives in Russian drone and missile attacks launched on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and its surroundings for the sixth consecutive night. Officials stated that the wave of attacks targeted infrastructure and morale.
Midnight Wave of Attacks
Ukraine's capital Kyiv and its surroundings were exposed to an intense wave of attacks following air raid alerts that began around 02:30 and lasted for hours.
Casualties in Kyiv and Boryspil
As a result of the attack, eight people lost their lives in Kyiv; seven of them were reported to have been killed at a railway depot on the left bank of the city.
Additionally, four people lost their lives in the Boryspil region, located to the east of Kyiv.
Other Targets Across the Country
According to information shared by regional authorities, four more people lost their lives in different parts of Ukraine.
Among the attacks, which took place in a total of 28 waves, was also the Orlivka border checkpoint located on the Danube River near the Romanian border.
Zelenskyy's Statement on Air Defense
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that numerous jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles were used in the attacks.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia was taking advantage of the shortage in US-made Patriot interceptor missiles.
