Investigation into FlyDubai Pilot's Background

The Australian Federal Police announced that the activities of the Omani-national FlyDubai co-pilot in the country approximately a decade ago are being examined.

New Zealand authorities also reported that the pilot spent time in the country and that officials will conduct the necessary inquiries.

Decision to Deploy Troops to Saudi Arabia

Following an emergency meeting in Riyadh, the foreign and defense ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey decided to dispatch troops under a joint defense pact.
