The crowd gathered in the center of Tunisia marched from the headquarters of the National Journalists Syndicate to Habib Bourguiba Avenue.
Demonstrators carried Tunisian and Palestinian flags, demanding the release of the detainees and the dismissal of the case.
Extension of Detention Period
The court extended the detention periods of Wael Naouar, Ghassen Henchiri, Ghassen Boughdiri, and Nabil Channoufi by another four months.
According to state media reports based on judicial sources, these individuals have been detained since March over allegations of financial irregularities related to donations collected for the flotilla.
Hunger Strike and Health Status
Committee member Wael Naouar began a hunger strike in August to protest his detention, while the other three detainees joined him in September.
Ghassen Bouaazi from the defense committee stated that Naouar has lost more than twenty kilograms, frequently faints, and experiences difficulty breathing.
Defense Claims
Supporters and lawyers reject the charges brought against them, arguing that the case is part of a crackdown on non-governmental organizations.
