Catalan authorities issued a red alert from Saturday evening at 8:00 PM until Sunday at 2:00 PM due to mini-tornadoes and heavy rainfall that could affect the region.

Officials issued clear appeals to the public not to go out unless necessary and to stay at home due to the scale of the danger.

Material Damage in Residential Areas

Due to the heavy rainfall, homes were flooded in the residential areas of Bellvitge and Cornellà near Barcelona, and numerous vehicles were submerged.
