The minister delegate stated that 80 French nationals were in the region at the time of the disaster, and the status of 76 of them has been clarified.

Casualties and Search Efforts for the Missing
As a result of the disaster, at least 579 people in Nepal and 7 people in China's Tibet region lost their lives, and as of Friday evening, over two thousand people were reported missing.
