The Freedom Flotilla Coalition has announced the launch of a new international maritime mission aimed at defying Israel's blockade of Gaza.
Visits to European Ports
Two ships, named Handala II and Kate, set sail and visited ports in Scandinavia, Ireland, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France.
Further Route and Plans
While upcoming stops include Spain, Portugal, and Italy, the flotilla aims to reach the shores of Gaza in October.
Call on Governments for Security
The coalition called on international governments to take diplomatic and economic steps to ensure safe passage and bring an end to the blockade.
Humanitarian Crisis and Infrastructure
According to UNICEF data, more than 82 percent of families in Gaza face water insecurity, while a large portion of the infrastructure remains destroyed.
