International AICAS 2026 Conference Begins in Ha Long City

The 8th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems (AICAS 2026) opened its doors in Ha Long City from September 16 to 18, 2026, hosted by the Information Technology Institute of Vietnam National University.

General Purpose and Participation of the Conference

The 8th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems (AICAS 2026) is being held in Ha Long, Quang Ninh, hosted by the Information Technology Institute of Vietnam National University. The event provides an environment for in-depth exchange of ideas on the convergence of artificial intelligence, microchips, computing architecture, and intelligent systems.

Paper Acceptance Process and Indexing

Out of 330 submissions sent to the conference, 131 projects were selected and accepted. Submitted by authors from 35 countries and territories, these papers will be published in the IEEE conference proceedings and indexed in the WoS and Scopus databases.

Global University and Corporate Participation

The event brought together representatives from leading academic institutions such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, and ETH Zurich, as well as global companies like Huawei, NVIDIA, Cadence, and STMicroelectronics.

Addressed Research Topics

The conference covers a wide range of research topics such as in-memory computing, circuits and systems for artificial intelligence, AI computing architecture, hardware-software co-design, and neuromorphic systems.

Sessions and Keynote Speakers

Following the opening ceremony, the conference continues with 26 thematic sessions, 2 tutorial sessions, 2 thematic workshops, and the IEEE AICAS Grand Challenge competition. Prominent figures include Prof. Kea-Tiong Tang and Dr. Ziyad Hanna.

Executive and Expert Insights

Vietnam National University Vice President Pham Bao Son drew attention to the energy and cost factors in the application processes of artificial intelligence during the opening session. Information Technology Institute Director Professor Tran Xuan Tu shared the institute's fields of activity.
