Joheirry Mola from the Dominican Republic won the 73rd Miss World Beauty Pageant, held in Vietnam with the participation of 111 contestants from around the world.

The 73rd Miss World Beauty Pageant, held in the city of Nha Trang, Vietnam, was the scene of great excitement on Saturday evening. Twenty-four-year-old model Joheirry Mola left 111 contestants behind to claim the crown.

This victory marked the second Miss World crown for the Dominican Republic, following the country's first title won in 1982 by Mariasela Alvarez.

Other Placed Contestants

Elisabeth Reynes Alabern from Spain finished as the first runner-up in the pageant, while Taanusiya Chetty, representing Malaysia, secured the second runner-up title and won the Beauty with a Purpose award.

Eritre, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Dominican Republic, Spain, and South Africa were among the countries that reached the final six to secure their names in the finale.

Highlights of the Night

Miss World Organization CEO Julia Morley announced the winners and runners-up on Saturday. Last year's winner, Opal Suchata, passed on her crown to the 73rd Miss World winner, Joheirry Mola.

The event concluded with a process that began in Vietnam on August 8, 2026, and ended on September 5, 2026, hosted by Daniel Mejía and Stephanie del Valle.

Continental Awards and Future Host

Tamunosoye Karibi-George from Nigeria managed to make it into the top 12 with the People's Choice Award and won the top model award for the African continent.

Romanda Hombir from South Africa became the African continental winner, and it was announced that the next 74th Miss World pageant will be held in Tanzania.
