Lime E-Bike Profits and User Numbers Surge in England
Lime's annual net profit in England, where monthly active users approach 700,000, has more than doubled driven by new city expansions and fleet growth.
As a result of surging user numbers and expanding fleet operations across England, Lime's annual profit rose to £4.7 million.

According to financial accounts in the UK, Lime's average monthly user count increased by 31% approaching 700,000, while sales also recorded a one-third increase.
The company brought its total vehicle count to nearly 38,000 with the addition of over 4,500 e-bikes and scooters to its fleet.
Growth and Workforce Structure
Expanding into new cities such as Oxford and Nottingham, Lime Technologies increased its headcount from 39 to 54 in 2025.
The company relies heavily on independent contractors and contracted personnel for the transportation and maintenance processes of the vehicles.
Regulatory Developments and Safety
The English devolution bill, enacted in April, granted local authorities the power to license rental e-bike operators.
While safety concerns for pedestrians and drivers continue to rise, the company has started deploying new smaller models with batteries relocated to the rear wheel.
Pavement Blockages and Confiscations
Rental e-bikes parked haphazardly on pavements continue to pose difficulties for visually impaired and mobility-impaired individuals.
London boroughs have confiscated at least 3,000 e-bikes this year, 2,000 of which belonged to Lime, in order to prevent street congestion.
