Excitement continues at Kaçkar by UTMB, the Turkey leg of the UTMB World Series, which is among the world's leading ultra mountain marathon organizations. While the 4-kilometer course has concluded, races in the 100, 50, and 20-kilometer stages are ongoing.
Racing Excitement Continues
The 4-kilometer stage of Kaçkar by UTMB, the Turkey leg of the UTMB World Series—one of the world's prominent ultra mountain marathon organizations—has successfully concluded.
Meanwhile, the grueling competition among athletes continues uninterrupted in the 100, 50, and 20-kilometer stages included in the organization.
Yusuf Özhan's Run
Participating in the 20-kilometer run on behalf of the Anadolu Agency Sports Club, AA Deputy General Manager and Editor-in-Chief Yusuf Özhan completed the stage, which featured 582 participants, in 3 hours, 19 minutes, and 58 seconds.
Özhan achieved success by finishing 46th in the general classification and 8th in his age category.
Competition in Nature
In the challenging race starting from Ayder Plateau, athletes are sweating it out fiercely on the unique natural wonder trails of the Kaçkars.
Following the race, Yusuf Özhan emphasized in a statement that the course is of world-class standard and offers a tremendous experience.
Support and Organization
A large number of elite athletes are also delivering top-tier performances in the 50 and 100-kilometer stages of the Kaçkar by UTMB organization.
It is stated that this major event, supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, enhances Turkey's importance in international sports tourism.
