Bluecore Energy, which develops small modular reactors to operate on floating barges, has completed a 50 million dollar seed funding round to accelerate the testing and deployment processes of its systems.

Current Operations of the Company

Headquartered at the Port of Long Beach in California, Bluecore Energy has taken delivery of its first barge and is continuing the development of its first marine nuclear energy system.

System Capacity and Targets

The company's first 10 MWe system under development is planned to meet the electricity needs of approximately 15,000 households or respond to the energy demand of major ports.

Future Plans

The newly provided funding will be used for hardware development, testing, validation, regulatory processes, and manufacturing activities.
