Massive Collapse Forms Outside Nicolas Cage's Malibu Home
Following severe storms and coastal flood warnings affecting Southern California, a giant sinkhole has emerged at the entrance of the famous actor's home.
The driveway of Hollywood star Nicolas Cage's Malibu home has collapsed into a massive sinkhole due to intense rainfall affecting the region in recent days.
Development and Scale of the Incident
It was reported that a giant collapse measuring approximately 30 feet wide formed in front of the Malibu home. Local media noted that no injuries occurred in the incident, while sharing the information that the actor purchased this property in 2024.
Neighborhood residents stated that a smaller pit began forming on Monday, but in the early hours of Tuesday, the ground completely gave way, creating a large crater and swallowing a major portion of the road.
Precautions Taken and Damage Assessment
It was confirmed that a gas leak occurred as a result of the structural damage, and safety was ensured by SoCalGas emergency response teams.
City of Malibu officials declared that at least five residences on the street are unsafe for entry and warned that emergency access is severely restricted due to the collapsed road.
