A ceremony was held at Maltepe University for Prof. Dr. İoanna Kuçuradi, President of the Philosophical Society of Turkey, who passed away at the age of 89. Following the ceremony, Kuçuradi was interred at the Şişli Greek Orthodox Cemetery.

A ceremony took place at Maltepe University for Prof. Dr. İoanna Kuçuradi, President of the Philosophical Society of Turkey and Honorary President of the International Federation of Philosophical Societies, who passed away on October 2.

Prominent figures from the worlds of politics and academia, alongside Kuçuradi's family and numerous loved ones, gathered at this meaningful ceremony.

Farewell Speech by Ömer Çelik

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik emphasized that Kuçuradi's passing is a great loss.

In his speech, Çelik stated that it was a great fortune for İoanna Kuçuradi, the teacher of teachers, to have lived in these lands, and expressed that they were bidding her farewell with respect.

Emotional Farewell Messages from Academics

Maltepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Aksar expressed that they are experiencing the indescribable pain of losing their teacher.

Prof. Dr. Betül Çotuksöken, Advisor to the Maltepe University Board of Trustees, stated that Kuçuradi made philosophical discourse her guide.

Interred at Şişli Greek Orthodox Cemetery

Following the ceremony, Kuçuradi's funeral was taken to the Metamorfosis Church located in the Şişli Greek Orthodox Cemetery, where a service was conducted under the leadership of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Following the religious service, İoanna Kuçuradi was laid to rest within the Şişli Greek Orthodox Cemetery.
