Military Complex to Be Added to Washington DC Triumphal Arch Project

President Trump announced on Sunday that the massive triumphal arch project planned to bridge Washington, D.C., and Virginia will include a top-grade military complex housing drones, snipers, and ammunition at the request of the U.S. military.

President Trump announced in a post on Truth Social on Sunday that the scope of the massive triumphal arch project connecting Washington and Virginia has been modified.

The announcement stated that this change was made directly at the request of the U.S. military for national security purposes and that a top-grade military complex will be added to the project.

Equipment and Features of the Complex

According to the new planned arrangement, the structure will house numerous drones and snipers to be deployed on the roof and plaza areas.

Additionally, the facility will feature dedicated areas for storing and keeping large quantities of sniper ammunition for rapid use.

Dimensions and Location of the Massive Structure

The triumphal arch in question is planned to be built 250 feet tall and, when completed, surpass the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and the Monument to the Revolution in Mexico to become the tallest arch in the world.

The monument is envisioned to be positioned along the Arlington Memorial Bridge, connecting Washington, D.C., and Virginia.

Aviation Reviews and Studies

The Federal Aviation Administration had previously suggested placing a non-standard eternal flame on top of the arch to make it easier for pilots to spot the structure, and concluded in its hazard study that the structure would not pose a danger to aircraft.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum had previously stated that work on the monument would begin shortly.
