Military Plane Crashes in Congo: Two Senior Generals Lose Their Lives
Following a technical malfunction, a military plane returning from the southwestern city of Kikwit to the capital Kinshasa crashed in Kenge, resulting in the deaths of 14 people, including high-ranking military officials and crew members.

In a statement released by the Congolese army, it was reported that a total of 14 people lost their lives as a result of the crash of a military plane traveling from Kikwit in the southwest of the country to the capital.
It was announced that those who lost their lives included two senior generals, as well as delegation members and crew.
Officials Who Lost Their Lives
It was announced that the high-ranking military figures who died in the crash were Lieutenant General Mutombo Katalayi Tiende, head of the military court, and Lieutenant General Bakumi Likulia, general inspector of the armed forces.
Military spokesperson Major General Efomi Ekenge stated that besides the two generals, twelve people from the delegation and the flight crew also lost their lives in the crash.
Route and Technical Malfunction
Information was shared that the plane had departed from the city of Kikwit, located in the southwestern part of the country, to return to the capital Kinshasa.
It was stated that a technical malfunction occurred during the flight and that the plane crashed in the Kenge region due to this malfunction.
