A colossal gold-plated Trump statue prepared by Danish artist Jens Galschiøt, dubbed the "Orange Plague" and the "King of Injustice," has been unveiled to visitors inside the European Parliament building in Strasbourg, France.
Statue Design and Details
Covered in 23-carat gold leaf, the massive bust standing over 2.5 meters tall depicts Donald Trump entirely naked, holding a pair of scales of justice and a long club topped with a golf ball shaped like the globe.
The artwork draws attention with a symbolic composition featuring a clothed, smaller man sitting on Trump's shoulders, bearing his weight.
Location and Duration of Exhibition
This controversial statue has been placed at one of the busiest intersections connecting the European Parliament buildings in Strasbourg and will remain on display until Thursday.
Visitors are being given miniature versions of the statue as a symbol of protest, and the artist plans to distribute a total of 10,000 miniatures.
Artist's Statements Regarding the Artwork
The creator of the statue, Danish artist Jens Galschiøt, stated that Donald Trump represents one of the greatest threats to the rules-based world order, democratic values, and efforts to combat the climate crisis.
The artist noted that he was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's famous fairy tale "The Emperor's New Clothes" while designing this striking statue.

Prior to its display at the European Parliament, this controversial work of art had also been showcased to art lovers at the COP30 summit in Brazil and the Munich Security Conference in Germany.
