United States President Donald Trump signed new executive orders aimed at expanding hunting and fishing access in public areas, lifting certain restrictions and rules from previous periods.

Event Held at the White House

President Trump announced the new executive orders at a dinner in the White House Rose Garden, attended by more than a hundred hunters, fishermen, and outdoor recreation officials.

Emphasizing that public lands belong to the American people, Trump stated that hunters and outdoor enthusiasts should be able to easily access these areas.

Expanded Rights on Federal Lands

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum was tasked with reversing excessive regulations from the previous administration and increasing hunting access on certain federal lands.

This step was implemented as a continuation of the initiative in August that opened more than 92 million acres of land across 32 states to hunting.

New Regulation in Monument Areas

Under the new decree, hunting activities will be permitted at the Castle Mountains National Monument in California and the Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho.

In line with the relevant directive, these permissions are planned to take effect within ninety days of the document's signing.

Ammunition and Tackle Rules

The administration decided to lift the ban introduced during the Biden administration in 2023, permitting the use of traditional lead ammunition and fishing tackle.

The process for granting this authorization is projected to be completed within one hundred and eighty days following the signing of the decision.
