Change Due to Legal Restrictions
Coming to Istanbul for the UEFA Champions League fixture, Italian club Roma encountered legal restrictions regarding advertisements for betting and gambling companies in Turkey. Consequently, the club decided not to use the logo of its main sponsor, which normally appears on the front of its jersey, during the match.
Meaningful Collaboration for Nepal
Instead of leaving the front of the jerseys blank, the Roma management signed a meaningful partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme. The special jerseys to be worn against Fenerbahçe will feature the WFP logo alongside the Nepalese flag and the message 'Together for Nepal'. This special initiative aims to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis that emerged following the flood and landslide disasters in the region.
Auction and Donation Campaign
The 2026-27 season jerseys worn by the players during the match will be put up for sale via auction after the game. All proceeds generated will be transferred to the World Food Programme's emergency relief operations in the region.
