Four people lost their lives in overnight Russian attacks on Ukraine, ahead of a scheduled visit by U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to revive peace talks.

Developments Ahead of U.S. Envoys' Visit

Moscow and Kiev are awaiting a visit by U.S. special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner—who is also the son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump—to launch a new peace initiative in the war waged by the Kremlin.

This planned visit is hoped to revive peace negotiations amid escalating airstrikes by both sides.

Zelenskyy's Statement on Ceasefire and Visit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would halt airstrikes during the visit of Witkoff and Kushner.

Zelenskyy called on the Moscow administration to take the same step and pause airstrikes.

Casualties in the Dnipropetrovsk Region

According to a statement by local military administration head Oleksandr Hanzha, four people were killed and five others were wounded in an attack on an industrial facility in the Dnipropetrovsk region of southern Ukraine.

In a separate attack in the region's Nikopol district, a 62-year-old man was injured, while numerous detached houses and an apartment building were damaged.

Statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that attacks had been carried out against two metallurgical facilities in the region.

Damage in the Kyiv and Mykolaiv Regions

Tymur Tkachenko reported that two people were injured in an overnight attack on Ukraine's Kyiv region.

A fire resulting from an attack in the Boryspil district partially destroyed a nine-story residential building.

Russian forces struck a shopping mall in the southern Mykolaiv region with drones multiple times overnight; a 72-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were injured in these attacks.

Air Defense and Missile Activities

The Ukrainian Air Force announced that Russia launched ballistic missiles from the Rostov and Voronezh regions and deployed 167 attack drones overnight.

Ukrainian air defense units shot down or neutralized 128 of these drones.

Reciprocal Attack in the Belgorod Region

Meanwhile, attacks launched by Ukraine led to three injuries, including a 14-year-old girl, in Russia's border region of Belgorod.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its forces shot down 53 Ukrainian drones overnight.
