Russian Ministry of Defense Announces Strike on Kyiv Bridge and Ships in the Black Sea
Moscow announced that it targeted a bridge over Kyiv and two dry cargo vessels carrying military cargo, stating that attacks will increase in response to Ukraine's moves.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the North bridge over the Dnipro River in Kyiv, used for troop and military shipments, and two dry cargo vessels carrying military supplies to Odesa were hit.
Critical Targets Hit
In a statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense, it was reported that the North bridge located on the Dnipro River in Kyiv was targeted on Sunday.
The statement pointed out that this route was used for the transportation of troops and military cargo.
Dry Cargo Vessels in the Black Sea
The ministry also stated that two dry cargo vessels carrying military equipment heading towards the port of Odesa in the northwestern Black Sea region were hit.
In previous statements, it was noted that a dry cargo vessel east of Odesa, a logistics center in Chornomorsk, and a data center in Odesa had been targeted.
Emphasis on Increasing Attacks
Following these developments, Russia announced on Sunday that attacks against Ukraine would be intensified.
This decision came after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that attacks on Russian oil refineries would be increased.
Air Defense Operations and UAVs
According to ministry data, between 20:00 Moscow time on Saturday and 08:00 on Sunday morning, 559 Ukrainian drones over numerous Russian regions as well as the Azov and Black Seas were intercepted and destroyed by air defense forces.
On the other hand, it was stated that the mutual claims of the parties could not be verified by independent sources.
