Saudi F-15 Fighter Jet Shot Down in Yemen
It was announced that Saudi jets were shot down over the skies of Marib, while hundreds of airstrikes were reported to have been carried out across the country.
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that a Saudi Arabian F-15 fighter jet supporting enemy forces was shot down over the Marib region.
Aircraft Shot Down Over Marib Skies
In a statement issued by the Yemeni Armed Forces, it was reported that a Saudi Arabian F-15 fighter jet was targeted and shot down over the skies of Marib.
Fighter Jets Forced Away from the Region
It was stated that Yemeni forces engaged in mutual combat with Saudi F-15 and Typhoon type fighter jets in the region, and aircraft searching for the wreckage of the crashed plane were forced to retreat.
Hundreds of Airstrikes Carried Out
The statement continued to note that Saudi warplanes carried out more than 450 airstrikes in the provinces of Taiz, Lahij, Al Jawf, Hajjah, Marib, Saada, and Al Bayda.
It was recorded that deaths and injuries occurred in the region as a result of these airstrikes.
Determination to Protect Sovereignty
The Yemeni Armed Forces emphasized that they will continue to defend the country's skies and sovereignty with all available means and will resist any aggression.
