It has been announced that a 22-year-old British citizen, who was detained on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack following a security incident at a US-run military air base in England, has been released on bail.

Bail Release Process

The unnamed suspect became the seventh person released on bail in the investigation into the alleged attack plan against the RAF Fairford air base, which American bombers used against Iran.

Iran Connection and Tehran's Statement

British authorities linked the incident, which prompted the US to withdraw bombers from the base on Sunday, to Tehran. While Iran denied the accusations, it stated that it would consider bases used to attack its territory as legitimate targets.

A US official stated that the Trump administration believes the base faces Iranian threats aimed at killing numerous American troops and destroying aircraft.

Investigation and Evacuations

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident, which on September 27 led to the evacuation of numerous residents from homes near the base.

Police announced that they found gasoline in three vans linked to the first five suspects, but no explosives were found.

Profile of Suspects and Location of the Base

It was noted that all detained suspects are in their 20s, with six being British citizens and one holding dual British-Iranian citizenship.

Located 160 kilometers west of London, the base was used by American B-1 and B-52 bombers during the Iran war.
