Ten People Lose Their Lives in Airstrikes Between Russia and Ukraine

As intense reciprocal airstrikes in the escalating air war between Russia and Ukraine resulted in a total of 10 deaths on both sides, US President Donald Trump called on the Ukrainian leader to reach a compromise with Putin.

The Toll of the Attacks in Ukraine

According to statements by officials, four people lost their lives in attacks carried out by Russia across Ukraine on Saturday. Two women died after being trapped under the rubble of their homes in Zaporizhzhia, while two people were killed in a separate attack on the city of Sumy.

Extensive Use of Missiles and UAVs

The Russian military used cruise and ballistic missiles, glide bombs, and jet-powered drones against Ukraine. Residential areas in the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were targeted, while a warehouse fire broke out in the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region.

Casualties in Russia and Occupied Territories

A Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's southern Krasnodar region killed three people, injured two others, and sparked fires at two industrial facilities, including the Ilsky oil refinery. Yevgeny Balitsky, the regional leader appointed by Moscow, reported that Ukrainian attacks overnight also resulted in the deaths of three people in the Russian-occupied part of Zaporizhzhia.

Trump Calls for Compromise with Putin

US President Donald Trump made statements following his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the United Nations General Assembly. Trump expressed his hope that the Ukrainian leader could reach an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin before winter sets in.
