Areas Affected by Landslides
Major landslides occurred due to continuous rainfall in the rural municipalities of Tamankhola, Nisikhola, and Tarakhola in Nepal's Baglung district.
As a result of these disasters, numerous houses along with local infrastructure suffered severe damage.

Search and rescue operations are continuing uninterrupted in the disaster zone through the coordination of various agencies.
Authorities are continuing search efforts in the region to reach one missing person.
Identities of the Deceased
According to information shared by Nepal Police, Udisara BK and Hastavir BK lost their lives in the Tamankhola area, while Punasara BK went missing.
Buddhiraj Gharti and Bhimdevi Gharti also lost their lives in landslides that occurred at different points in the same area.
Tragic Loss of a Family
Four members of the same family lost their lives when soil piled onto a house in the village of Kankekhariya, located in Nisikhola rural municipality.
The family members who lost their lives in the landslide were identified as Shyamkumari BK, Manoj BK, Mukesh BK, and young Nishan BK.

Himlung Himal Avalanche Disaster
Four bodies were recovered after an avalanche targeted the base camp in the Himlung Himal avalanche area located in the Manang district.
Search and rescue operations for 12 people missing as a result of the avalanche in the region are also ongoing.
