Three Killed in Russian Strikes on Ukraine as Putin Warns Europe
Civilians lost their lives in nighttime attacks on Ukraine, while Russian leader Putin directly warned European nations of the risk of war.
Three civilians were killed and numerous others injured as a result of Russian airstrikes across Ukraine. Amid these developments, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the deployment of European troops to Ukraine would lead to a direct war.
Attacks on Different Cities
Ballistic missiles and jet-powered drones were used as part of Russia's escalating air campaign against Ukraine. Two people were killed and one person was injured due to drones hitting a residential area in the city of Zaporizhzhia.
In attacks on the Kryvyi Rih region, one person lost their life while three others were injured. Officials stated that energy infrastructure was targeted as winter approached, with the aim of breaking the morale of civilians.
Damage and Injuries in Odesa
Twenty-eight people were injured as a result of a large-scale attack carried out in and around the Black Sea port of Odesa. Regional governor Oleh Kiper described the attack as a major offensive.
Among the buildings targeted was a multi-story residential building, the upper floors of which were completely destroyed.
Putin's Troop Warning to Europe
Speaking to the press at the BRICS summit in India, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the deployment of troops to Ukraine by European governments would mean a war with Russia.
While Moscow considers the prospect of a peacekeeping force unacceptable, Putin argued that Russia poses no threat to Europe and never has.
Incidents in Border Regions
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that incidents occurring on Ukraine's borders with Poland and Moldova are a preview of future Russian provocations.
It was announced that two people were killed due to drones hitting the Starokozache border crossing between Ukraine and Moldova on Tuesday night.
