The Trump administration has backed a new Chevron-led pipeline project that would transport 2 million barrels of crude oil per day between Basra and Baniyas.
Planned to cost approximately $5.7 billion and span 1,000 miles, the infrastructure is expected to take at least two and a half years to complete.
