Two Latvian men, aged 32 and 36, who were arrested at an air base in eastern England as part of an investigation by British counter-terrorism police, have been released on bail.

Development of the Incident and Release

British counter-terrorism police announced that the two Latvian men arrested on Thursday at a Royal Air Force base in eastern England have been released on bail. The individuals, aged 32 and 36, were released under strict conditions while the investigation continues.

Allegations of Links to Other Bases

The arrests occurred weeks after a suspected conspiracy targeting Fairford, another British air base used by the US military. Police stated that there is currently no evidence of a link between the incident at RAF Molesworth and the suspected conspiracy targeting RAF Fairford.

Course of the Investigation and Motivation

Commander Helen Flanagan, head of the London Counter Terrorism Policing, stated that one of the main lines of the investigation is to determine the motivation of the men for being at that location.
