Ukrainian Leader Zelenskyy Warns of New Russian Attack on Europe

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that if Russia fails to fully achieve its military objectives in Ukraine, it could target other European countries to increase pressure. It was warned that the risks of drone, missile, or ground operations are extremely high for neighboring countries located near the Russian or Belarus borders.

Making statements following meetings held during the United Nations General Assembly proceedings in New York City, Zelenskyy met with US President Donald Trump. During the meeting, the possibility of halting mutual attacks on energy infrastructure and the Patriot air defense systems needed ahead of the winter season were discussed.

Zelenskiy's warnings coincided with recent drone violations and escalating security tensions experienced across Europe. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also emphasized in their statements that serious measures must be taken against potential attack threats targeting NATO countries.
