Treasury Department Statements

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that economic tools will be fully utilized against far-left activities and their supporters, and that the financial sources of politically motivated terrorism will be cut off.

Italy-Linked Structures and Sanctions

The US Treasury Department also sanctioned an Italy-based entity on accusations of providing digital infrastructure and tools to antifa and similar left-wing groups. Meanwhile, the UK had previously banned Palestine Action as a terrorist organization.

Reaction from Group Founder

Huda Ammori, co-founder of Palestine Action, argued that the group's activities aimed to save lives by disrupting Israel's military system. Ammori stated that this US decision is dangerous in terms of freedom of expression and civil rights.

Masar Badil and Other Elements

The US Treasury Department also imposed sanctions on the same day against a transnational group named Masar Badil, which it stated acts as a front for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
