US President Trump Issues New Threat Against Iran's Nuclear Facility
US President Donald Trump stated that they could target Iran's underground nuclear facility, Pickaxe Mountain, if suspicious activity is detected.
Defending Washington's military operation against Iran, US President Donald Trump stated that intelligence is closely monitoring the facility and that the Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility could be struck very soon if any suspicious movement is observed.
New Threat for Pickaxe Mountain
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, US President Donald Trump said that Iran's protected underground nuclear facility, Pickaxe Mountain, could be targeted very soon if suspicious activities are detected.
Trump emphasized that US intelligence is closely monitoring the activity at the facility and that they will respond very harshly to the slightest negative development.
Military Mobility and Nuclear Weapon Goal
Arguing that the main purpose of the five-month military campaign was to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons, Trump claimed they had achieved this goal.
Trump also claimed that the US intervention prevented a broader regional conflict and protected Israel and the Middle East from a greater danger.
Military Operations and Radar Systems
The statement came a few days after the US Central Command announced the completion of new airstrikes against Iranian military targets.
Trump stated that American forces destroyed advanced radar systems twice deployed by Iran and that Iran is tired of being a constant target.
Iran's Reaction and Counterattacks
Iran, condemning the US attacks, accused Washington of violating sovereignty and targeting civilian infrastructure.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry reported that armed forces responded with overwhelming defensive attacks against US military bases in West Asia.
