Controversial increase in H-1B visa fees
The suspension of visa processing came immediately after the Department of Homeland Security proposed a new application fee of $103,265 for H-1B work visas.
The high fee proposed for this visa type, which enables the employment of foreign skilled workers, stands out as a regulation expected to take effect following a 30-day public comment period.
