The US Women's National Basketball Team overcame a 14-point deficit in the first half against France, securing a 97-79 victory in the second half to win the FIBA Women's World Cup.

Struggling against France in the first half of the match, the US fell behind by the largest deficit of the tournament, trailing by 14 points.
The French team finished the first quarter ahead 20-17 and extended their lead to 31-17 with consecutive points at the beginning of the second quarter.

The US team recovered towards the end of the half to reduce the deficit, entering the locker room trailing 45-43 after Caitlin Clark's three-pointer at the buzzer.
