Wreckage of Missing Air Ambulance Found Off Massachusetts
Crews have spotted debris fields in the area after an aircraft carrying six people disappeared from radar off the coast of Massachusetts.
A medical evacuation flight carrying six people, traveling from Bermuda to Boston, lost communication with air traffic control off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts.
Flight Details and Disappearance
The Gulfstream G-100 jet, operated by Latitude Air Ambulance, had departed from Bermuda and was heading toward the Boston coast.
The aircraft lost radio and radar contact with the Federal Aviation Administration just after 01:00 local time near Nantucket Island.
Passengers and Crew Onboard
There were a total of six people onboard the missing medical flight, and their identities were shared by authorities.
It was announced that four of the passengers were Canadian citizens, while the other two held citizenship in Bermuda.
Search Operations and Debris Field
United States Coast Guard crews launched search and rescue operations in the area to locate the missing plane.
As a result of the searches, a debris field confirmed to belong to the aircraft was identified, and rescue operations continued.
