Young Colorado Athlete Joins National Team for World Championships

14-year-old Zykyrah "Ky" Bess-Reed, living in Colorado, has been selected for the United States National Team and has entered an intensive training regimen for the Speed Skating World Championships to be held in Paraguay.

From Green Skates to the National Team Path

Young Colorado athlete Zykyrah Bess-Reed achieved the success of rising to the national team by showing rapid development in the sport of skating, which she stepped into four years ago.

Intensive Training and Technical Work

Stating that speed skating is not just about going fast, the athlete expressed that the sport requires great effort and a detailed technical foundation.

Continuing her work under coach Kelly Springer, the young athlete does intensive training every day of the week, up to twice a day, before the championships.

World Championships in Paraguay

The national athlete stated that her preparations are at their peak and she continues her preparations for the Speed Skating World Championships to be held in Paraguay without slowing down.

Financial Support and Community Solidarity

Since equipment and travel expenses amount to approximately $10,000, her family is awaiting financial support from the community so the young athlete can take the world stage.
