Zelensky's Plane Narrowly Avoided Being Target of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle During Takeoff

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store announced that the plane of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who arrived in Oslo from Moldova for the funeral of Norwegian King Harald, was nearly targeted by a drone during takeoff.

In a statement to Norwegian state broadcaster NRK, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's plane was nearly hit by a drone as it was taking off from Moldova. Store emphasized that this incident highlights the reality Zelensky lives in, while sharing no further details about the event.

Oslo Visit and Contacts

Zelensky arrived in Oslo on Tuesday evening and met with Norwegian Prime Minister Store, Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg, and Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide. During these meetings, Norway's military assistance, including air defense support, and civilian aid were discussed.

Funeral and Trip to Canada

Ukrainian leader Zelensky was among the numerous foreign statesmen attending the funeral on Wednesday of Norwegian King Harald, who passed away on August 28 at the age of 89. Prime Minister Store stated that following the funeral, Zelensky departed Norway and traveled to Canada to hold meetings with leaders.
