Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a critical warning to all airline companies and insurers using Russian airspace. Emphasizing that the Russian skies are becoming increasingly dangerous, Zelenskyy stated that companies operating flights to airports in major cities such as Moscow and St. Petersburg must take this risk into account.
International Flight Traffic
Due to the ongoing war, the vast majority of Western commercial airlines do not conduct flights over Russia. However, some carriers in China, Turkey, and Gulf countries continue to use these routes.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Zelenskyy's warning-like remarks amount to a declaration of state terrorism. Speaking at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Kyrgyzstan, Putin noted that they will not negotiate with terrorists and will continue to respond to attacks.
