A member of the Chisipiti United Methodist Church congregation, Mapani has assumed responsibilities in various leadership positions within the organization and achieved successful work over the past two decades.
Regional Presidency and Expansion Efforts
Mapani served as the South and East Africa Area president from 2022 to 2026, and previously served as the area's vice president from 2016 to 2022.
Increase in Unit Numbers and Participation
During her term as area president, Mapani increased the number of units in the region from eight to eighteen, raised seminar participation rates, and supported the education of disadvantaged young women.
Social Initiatives in Education
The successful leader also spearheaded the establishment of the Africa University Scholarship Fund, which enables disadvantaged young women to pursue higher education.
