667-kilometer Divriği-Kars-Georgia Border railway line is being tendered

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the construction tender for the modernization of the Divriği-Kars-Georgia Border Railway Line, which is part of the Eastern Turkey Middle Corridor Railway Development Project, will be held on December 22, 2026.

The works to be carried out within the scope of the Eastern Turkey Middle Corridor Railway Development Project cover infrastructure and superstructure rehabilitation as well as electrification processes. It was stated that the project will be implemented in four separate sections: Divriği-Erzincan, Erzincan-Erzurum, Erzurum-Kars, and Kars-Georgia Border, and the construction works are planned to be completed in 4 years. The tender announcement containing the relevant design and construction works has been published in the Official Gazette.
