74 Billion Liras of Agricultural Support to Women Producers from Ziraat Bank

Ziraat Bank provided a total of 74 billion TL in agricultural loans to over 71,000 women producers within the last year. The aim is to empower women to gain effectiveness in agricultural production.

Financing Provided to Women Producers

While the balance of loans extended by Ziraat Bank to the agricultural sector exceeds 1 trillion, it continues to support women's participation in production with a holistic approach. In the last 1 year alone, loans totaling 74 billion were utilized by over 71,000 women producers. The bank considers women taking a more active role in agricultural production, establishing their own businesses, and growing their existing businesses as one of its priority areas.

Supported Activity Areas

Within the scope of the Woman Farmer Loan, areas such as dairy cattle breeding, small ruminant breeding, and beekeeping are financed. In addition, the investment and operating finance needs of women producers are met in activities such as broiler poultry farming, greenhouse vegetable and fruit production, and medicinal and aromatic plant cultivation.

Increasing Loan Upper Limits

An important announcement was made at the 5th Agriculture Ecosystem Meeting held on July 3, 2026, with the attendance of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. It was officially announced that the upper limit for Women and Young Farmer Loans was increased from 3 million TL to 5 million TL. For investment loans, a grace period of up to 2 years for principal repayment and a maturity of up to 10 years are provided.

Interest Discounts and Cooperative Support

Women producers are prioritized in Treasury interest-supported agricultural loan applications. Provided that the specified conditions are met, an additional 15 percent discount can be provided on the interest discount determined for the relevant production subject. The bank also supports cooperatives with the Producing Women's Cooperative loan product.
