Access ban on Cafer Mahiroğlu's social media accounts

Within the scope of investigations conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, access restrictions were imposed on personal social media accounts of Cafer Mahiroğlu from the media world.

It was reported that the access ban decision was taken in line with the allegation that Cafer Mahiroğlu made provocative calls directed at the public in front of the Halk TV building. The investigation file includes allegations of bribery, rigging bids, and laundering property values derived from crime.

Last week, on October 14, within the scope of the file conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a trustee had been appointed to Halk TV and the management of the channel had been transferred to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF). Additionally, in the initial phase of the investigation, access bans were also imposed on Halk TV's official YouTube, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Telegram accounts.
