Access Block Imposed on Cafer Mahiroğlu's Social Media Account
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an access block was imposed on Cafer Mahiroğlu's social media account, while allegations of bribery, rigging tenders, and laundering assets are being examined.
Pursuant to the decision taken upon the request of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an access block was issued for Cafer Mahiroğlu's social media account on the assessment that he made provocative calls to the public. The investigation file includes charges of bribery, rigging tenders, and laundering asset values derived from crime.
Upon the decision taken at the request of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, access to Cafer Mahiroğlu's social media account was blocked. The focus of the investigation is on commercial transactions and municipal tenders alleged to be linked to the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. According to the allegations, Mahiroğlu played a role in the establishment of BUSTECH Araç Bakım Onarım Hizmetleri Anonim Şirketi, and unjust gain was obtained by transferring the company management to individuals determined by him.
While the file alleges that an unregistered bribe payment amounting to 14 million 464 thousand liras was made, it was claimed that payments above the tender prices were carried out through BUSTECH and the revenues were transferred to companies affiliated with Mahiroğlu. Furthermore, it was reported that discrepancies exist between the assets and incomes of Mahiroğlu and his relatives, and high-amount SWIFT transfers made abroad are being examined. The allegations at the investigation stage do not constitute a finalized court decision.
