Access Block Imposed on Halk TV's Social Media Accounts
Following ongoing investigations, Halk TV—whose companies were seized and to which a Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) trustee was appointed—has had its official accounts on numerous digital platforms blocked.
Following investigations launched against Halk TV and the channel's owner Cafer Mahiroğlu, a decision was made to block access to the institution's official accounts on social media platforms.
Access Ban Decision
It was reported that an access ban was imposed on Halk TV's official accounts on various social media platforms within the scope of Article 8/A of Law No. 5651.
Covered Platforms
It was announced that the access ban decision covers the official corporate accounts on platforms such as YouTube, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Telegram.
Investigation and Trustee Process
It was noted that an investigation is being conducted against the channel's owner, Cafer Mahiroğlu, on charges of bribery, rigging a tender, and laundering assets derived from crime.
Seizure of Companies
It was stated that within the scope of these judicial investigations, Halk TV companies were seized, and the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) was appointed as a trustee.
