Adobe Lightroom mobile app adds AI-powered 'Open Eyes' feature
Adobe has introduced a new AI tool to the mobile version of Lightroom that allows users to open closed eyes in photos with a single tap.
Adobe has launched a new generative AI feature for the Lightroom mobile app on iOS, iPadOS, and Android platforms, designed to fix closed eyes in photos.
When the app detects closed eyes in photos, it presents the user with a quick action icon called 'Open Eyes'. This feature references other photos of the same person in the Lightroom library to generate eyes that are consistent with the lighting and pose.
While similar functionality previously existed in software like Photoshop Elements, those tools typically relied on copying from another photo. Lightroom's new method uses generative AI to aim for more natural results.
Free version users have the right to try this feature twice, while an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription is required for further usage.
