Author Ahmet Ümit, whose works have been published in 35 languages ranging from Chinese to Portuguese, German to Mongolian, is organizing a three-day comprehensive cultural event in Istanbul with the participation of twenty translators and nine publishers. On the second day of the program, held between October 20-22, various panels and sessions are taking place at the Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts building.

The second day of the gathering, which brings together international translators and publishers who translate Ahmet Ümit's works into foreign languages, takes place on Wednesday, October 21, at the Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts building under the title "From Istanbul to the World: Ahmet Ümit's Journey with Words – Translation, publishing, and reader stories from the world." The opening of the program is conducted by Tülay Güngen, General Manager of Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts Publishing, and author Ahmet Ümit.

Within the scope of the event, sessions titled "Carrying Ahmet Ümit to Other Languages," "Ahmet Ümit from the Publisher's Perspective," "Istanbul, History and Memory," and "Transcending the Boundaries of Detective Fiction" are held. Translators and publishers from various countries discuss the translation processes of the novels, their bond with the author's language, detective literature, and the theme of Istanbul in the works. Many figures from different languages take part as speakers in the panel series, which is open to all literature enthusiasts.
